Places we like to fish

We love traveling and love to fish. Here are some of the places that we’ve been that we think aren’t just good fishing places. They are Crazy Good Fishing places.

Fish Belize

Most people know Belize has great weather, fantastic beaches and Mayan ruins. Belize also boasts world class fishing. You can fly fish for permit, tarpon or bonefish. River fish for machaca, snook or jack crevalle. Or head outside the reef for wahoo, grouper, kingfish and dorado. So many options, why not pick them all? In Belize you can do it all. Minnesota Fishing

Home to more than 12,000 lakes and countless streams and rivers, Minnesota is an anglers paradise. People travel from all over the country to fish for walleye, largemouth bass, muskie, smallmouth bass, sturgeon, northern pike, bluegill and jumbo perch in these cold waters. Those who want to enjoy a fish fry love the firm meat that a walleye, pike or crappie have. Catch and release fishermen love bass fishing in the “Northwoods.” Personally in the spring we fish for walleye. In the summer we throw soft plastics for bass in the mornings and top water lures in the evenings. In the fall back to walleye fishing and crappie fishing. Northern pike can be caught almost all the time.

Everyone knows Alaska has great fishing. Usually you hear about salmon and halibut fishing. But Alaska has more than just salmon and halibut. Along with 100 pound plus halibut and 6 species of salmon you can also catch cod, various types of rockfish (roughly 27 species of rockfish exist in Alaska), trout (such as lakers or steelhead), ling cod (not really a cod),  pollock, northern pike, char (both arctic and dolly varden can be found in Alaska) and sablefish can be caught in Alaska.
