Whether you choose to fish an inland stream/lake or head to the ocean to fish salt water, Costa Rica has many options.

Inshore and Offshore opportunities

Inshore fishing for rooster fish, cubera snapper and occasionally mahi mahi or even tuna is totally possible in Costa Rica.
Costa Rica also boasts world class off shore fishing for marlin, sailfish, mahi mahi and tuna .

Fishing Lake Arenal

Located at the base of the Arenal Volcano, Lake Arenal is Costa Rica's largest lake. The lake is home to various species such as Machaca, Jaguar Cichlids, Mojarra and Guapote (rainbow bass).

Inland activities for non fishing days

On days you aren't fishing, you can enjoy hiking, ziplining, white water rafting, waterfalls, bungee jumping, visiting hot springs, wildlife opportunities and so much mroe.

Ocean activities for non fishing days.

While I may fish everyday in Costa Rica, my wife likes to do other things as well. Fortunately for her, there are many things to do on the ocean such as snorkeling, surfing, hiking, horseback riding and window shopping.
